Growing up in New York City the focus of every child, after the Easter break, was centered singularly on one thing, Summertime. As kids in the inner city we looked forward to the heat, the pool, Coney Island, the beach, to staying out until the street lights came on (or maybe a little later), the ice cream and Italian Ices that were a staple of Summertime in the city.
