Covenant of Hypocrisy, Betrayal and Brutality

I recently heard someone say that, “… America is the greatest country in the history of the world…” I paraphrase because the statement was made within the context of a larger, and more expansive discussion too complex to delve into here. Suffice it to say that the statement was not the major thesis of the argument, but more of a corollary with which to support his argument. Even as a corollary, I could not allow this statement to go un-discussed.
